Responsibilities:
Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position and all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promote safety by making suggestions for improvement and promptly reporting all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor/manager.
Responsible for completing all project/fabrication work as assigned by the Building Operations Manager. Responsible for the coordination of all tasks, the procurement of all necessary parts/supplies, and the timely communication and follow-up with the customer/requestor.
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all process and building equipment including but not limited to AVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, electrical and lighting. Assist in the maintenance/management of the Building Management System.
Assist in the completion, implementation, and management of the Preventative Maintenance Program. Perform preventative maintenance on all processes and building equipment in accordance with the program.
Test and inspect all emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, OSHA, and all agency standards and guidelines.
Communicate with outside vendors as needed for service support, parts supplies, etc. Support outside contractors scheduled to complete projects within the facility.
Maintain adequate parts inventory to support the facility.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum ten years experience in a job-related field
Must possess solid electrical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to solve problems (machinery, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
Ability to use power tools and craft equipment
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Must have good computer skills
Strong English communication skills, both verbally and written
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Must be flexible with work hours, including off-shift and weekends, as needed
Must be able to respond to building-related emergency calls after hours
Available to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical degree, a plus
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience, a plus
Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs
