Role Overview

Another Tomorrow is seeking a passionate Financial Leader with  global apparel experience to join our growing team as we model the future of fashion.  The Director of Finance will own all financial reporting and accounting responsibilities for Another Tomorrow’s international, fast-growth, omni-channel business. Working cross-functionally to deliver up-to-date, accurate, and insightful data and financials to underpin the business, the Director of Finance will serve as a reliable backbone for business leaders. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO, this experienced self-starter will partner with every function, from Production and Product Development through to Marketing and Sales, to ensure financial models, inventory management, cash flow projections, and KPI reporting are accurately representing the business and informing decisions on a daily basis. This role will oversee our outsourced accounting function responsible for general ledger management, bill processing, receivables and month end close.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all financial processes, systems, and outputs including: 
    • Management of the outsourced accounting function 
    • Accurate reporting and tracking of Expenses & Accounts Payable, including pro forma invoices, international/multi currency purchase orders/expenses, customs and duty charges
    • Development of the related income statements, balance sheet and cash flow statements 
  • Own the end-to-end annual operating budget and financial forecast(s), developing a cadence for regular maintenance and re-forecasts in line with the growth of the business. 
  • Develop and lead cross-functional processes including monthly BvA reviews and financial reports.
  • Work cross-functionally with business leaders to provide regular analysis and reporting tools to ensure forecasts are informed by good data, budgets are accurate, and stakeholders are making informed decisions. 
  • Establish and maintain a reliable inventory management system within the ERP, working closely with Production and PD to ensure accuracy and reliability for all Raw Material, WIP,  Finished Goods Inventory, COGS, and aged inventory reporting.
  • Ensure our financial processes and control accurately support our growing international supply chain and logistics, including overseeing the  fiscal rep/VAT process and duty drawbacks
  • Work with the Head of Sustainability to maintain social responsibility classifications of vendor expenses, quarterly reporting of impact achievements, financial reporting for carbon offsets, and charitable donations. 
  • Oversee sales tax via Avalara, payroll & benefits via Justworks, compliance, financial controls, and the treasury function.
  • Support the COO with strategic planning, financial business decisions, and HR.
  • As necessary, review new contracts, negotiate terms, and support the development or training for new systems.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 10 years working in financial operations or accounting with significant experience working within or for  international fashion / apparel companies.
  • Experience working with  WIPs, complex global supply chains, raw materials and costing..
  • FP&A skills with the financial acumen to leverage insights from data that inform business decisions.
  • Experience managing 3rd party  financial audits and supporting fundraising diligence activities.
  • Proven track record developing user-friendly planning tools and reporting dashboards.  
  • Must possess relevant experience leading inventory planning & management.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical expertise.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with experience managing tight deadlines and balancing priorities.
  • A high degree of confidence working  with Excel, Google Suite,, ERP/PLMs, and BI tools.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
  • CPA-license is preferred.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 (commensurate with experience).
