Job Summary:
Oversees the daily workings of Retail North America store network and local operations/stock keepers, ensuring safe and efficient managing of overall operations. Ensure company compliance with regulatory issues for the managed countries. Enhance and manage the operational procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and looks for opportunities to expand procedures and systems.

Role and Responsibilities

Operations
• Perform regular Store Visit Overviews in area stores to identify operational opportunities and develop appropriate action plans with the management team(s)
• Monitor progress and oversee inventory management (i.e. implement cycle counting calendar, supervise (bi-)annual stocktakes)
• Ensure that store presentation and operations standards are being met or expectations are exceeding
• Operational set-up and management of the newly established retail division
• Conduct market studies on the opening of additional freestanding stores across the US
• Complete reports as directed from Corporate Representative
• Ensure store management achieves expense budgets through monitoring and controlling all stores' controllable expense items. Review profit and loss (P&L) reports monthly with area store managers and develop action plans to address expense controls as needed
• Participate in all aspects of new store opening operations, including recruiting and training stock and operational personnel, co-coordinating store opening logistics, and working with store opening team to ensure store is fully operational for an on-time store opening
• Perform other duties as assigned
Strategic Planning & Financial Management
• Ensure core sales initiatives are in line with brand direction
• Be aware and advised on monthly P&L information, anddetermine plan to ensure that targetsare achieved
• Manage team expenses to ensure costs remain within budget

Communication
• Build a relationship with Store Management
• Keep all parties in the loop when on a project (ie. VP of Omnichannel Operations, VP of Finance and Ops, VP of Retail, Store Management)
• Ability to give status updates, when requested, by upper management
• Partner with the Finance team on ensuring budgets are adhered to and/or shifts resources to satisfy a high priority
• Successfully bring in third parties, as necessary, such as building owners, the city, etc.
• Communicate the status of Purchase Orders as needed or requested
• Responsible for communicating any issues and/or concerns in regard to any purchase orders to ensure everything is handled accordingly
• Create partnership with Finance department to ensure timely and effective payments
• Build and maintains a strong relationship with all vendors
• Minimize costs through vendor sourcing and consolidated contracts
• Centralize vendors to support retail stores and efficiencies

Sales & Financial Responsibilities
• Partner with VP of Retail to increase sales, develop teams, and strategize plans to grow the retail business throughout the US
• Strategically and organizationally set up of stock areas for optimal and smooth business flow
• Work with retail team to develop and execute strategies and identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness and sales
• Ensure store management achieves expense budgets through monitoring and controlling all stores' controllable expense items. Review P&L reports monthly with store managers and develops action plans to address expense controls as needed
• Ensure consistent management focus on Maison Margiela and Jil Sander Client Service standards, Clienteling, Sales Generation, and Product Flow
• Drive sales using common key performance indicators including, but not limited to, UPTs, conversion rate, and mystery shops results
Confirm that all store teams are aware of local PCI and IRS requirements

Client Services
• Strategize and implement plans to improve client service standards in all stores
• Work with Store Managers to ensure client issues are resolved to the clients' satisfaction while adhering to Group's policies and procedures
• Implement management meetings to identify client service priorities
• Perform regular store visits to assess opportunities and develop appropriate action plans with management team(s)

Omnichannel Operations
• Omnichannel services implementation
• Execute existing and develop new e-commerceinitiatives and opportunities designed to meet and exceed the Retail revenue goals
• Oversee the day-to-day e-commerce operations, client services, updates, post listings, promotions, merchandising, maintenance, and performance in agreement with HQ.
• Ensure that daily site maintenance is conducted by partnering with the e-commerce manager; correcting product descriptions, product placement, new item posting, out of stock item removal, and functionality meets and exceeds company expectations
• Provide on-going strategic insights and recommendations of new local e-commerce channels with growth plans
• Assist in the set-up of new business models to grow overall e-commerce activities
• Assist in coordinating across functional teams to drive sale strategies to grow our e-commerce business
• Track and analyze e-commerce operations and systems identifying processes to optimize, in accordance with HQ
• Spearhead OMS training in-store while sharing best practices for Ship-to-Store transactions
