Licensing is a growing area within our branded division where we design, develop and manufacture products for some of our brands. Our Licensing team works with an exciting portfolio of Brands including Ted Baker Kids and new brands due to launch in AW23..............ssh!

Working closely with our Brand partners you will develop great relationships with them to maximise the many commercial opportunities.

The Role...

You will be responsible for specific brands within the licensing division. The role is based in Market Harborough with a requirement to travel to our London office when required.

Working as part of a dynamic and experienced team, this role is a great opportunity to join a key part of licensing. This role is perfect for someone who wants to continue working closely with buying and design to develop product but also experience working with brands.

We are hoping to bring on board an Assistant Merchandiser who is ambitious and proactive and who will play a pivotal role in our growth and development. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will have accountability for managing budgets, sales & stock levels and influencing product selection.

Key responsibilities:
  • Analyse sales and trend data, ensuring your department, in collaboration with the Brands, is buying the right collection in the appropriate quantities.
  • Monitor in-season performance and respond to trading opportunities to maximise sales.
  • Plan product ranges, maintaining accurate Merchandising systems along the way.
  • Harness great relationships with your team and Brand partners.
  • Manage and coordinate orders from our branded partners.
  • Manage the critical path.
  • Negotiate the best delivery dates.
  • Overcome the challenges of small average line buys.
  • Trade the department managing spend whilst maximising opportunities.


About You...
  • You are organised and can effectively manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks.
  • Have an energetic, positive attitude with an open mind as to what can be achieved.
  • A confident communicator, you will build excellent relationships both internally and externally.
  • You have strong analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret key sales and trend data.
  • Approachable and motivational - Trainees will seek out your advice.
  • An interest in fashion.
  • Challenge the status quo, bring ideas to the table.
