Job Details

Feng Chen Wang is a London and Shanghai based designer brand founded by Fengchen Wang in 2015, after graduating from the Royal College of Art’s prestigious Fashion Menswear MA. Describing her aesthetic as “future-modern, authentic and multidimensional”, Feng focuses on technical deconstruction, creating gender fluid clothing that is functional but at the same time conceptual and personal, drawing on her life experiences and Chinese heritage. 

 

The brand is expanding and hence looking for a talented, passionate Marketing Co-Ordinator early and ambitious in their career, and excited to help drive the growth of the Feng Chen Wang business.  The Marketing Co-Ordinator will be involved in helping the brand to bring our year-round global compelling marketing strategies to life and scale. Already in 2023 we’ve had some exciting activations that have driven traffic to our sales channels – we’ve showcased on the runway during Paris Fashion Week, and hosted a five day popup in London’s Mayfair district with a busy programme of events. We’ve another runway planned for Paris in June this year, and some more prestigious collaboration launches that we can’t reveal yet.  

 

The role is global, although based in East London. It importantly connects and collaborates with the entire marketing team regardless of location.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Brand projects

  • Support the marketing and creative teams with the organisation and delivery of photo shoot events for campaigns (around 2 or 3 a year); fashion presentation or runway shows in the UK as well as overseas (around 2 a year generally) from end to end.
  • Support wholesale partner projects such as events and popups, to help increase brand awareness and sell-through
  • Post mortem on all brand projects.

 

2. Social media

  • Working with creative and commercial teams to implement  our social media strategies and calendars across all social platforms including (but not limited to) Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and other relevant platforms
  • Implement activations for all brand projects.
  • Grow our social media channels and engage with our community and represent our brand on social.
  • Constantly monitor, moderate and service all social media channels.
  • Compile and present advance social media calendar to the Head of Marketing weekly.
  • Identify areas for opportunity and growth and actively build engagement and awareness.
  • Compile and present monthly performance reports across platforms.
  • Source, edit, format and repost assets quickly in keeping with the highly time sensitive and 24/7 nature of social media.
  • Support the sales and creative team to ensure strategy and calendars are aligned to push sales objectives
  • Ensure all traffic channels perform optimally by measuring relevant KPIs
  • Own the implementation of social calendars, content management, content publishing and copywriting for all social platforms - running its day-to-day, weekly and monthly responsibilities (this includes weekend and holiday hour publishing)
  • Support content projects for all China and UK social media platforms, including (but not limited to) photoshoots, short film and videos, BTS, working alongside creative team. Shooting own photographs and film as necessary.
  • Identify and content manage (including still and video editing, formatting, reposting and archiving) relevant UGC, editorials and celebrity/influencer dressing, tagged & mentions in real time.
  • Own community management and make sure all direct messages, comments, questions and concerns are answered appropriately and in as real time as possible
  • Research, identify, understand and keep up to date with the latest trends and opportunities on social media platforms and influencer community to ideate and innovate the social space with actionable plans

 

 

3. Other

  • Compile year-round marketing calendar and action plan to hand over to the Head Of Marketing
  • Support ecommerce story telling and product descriptions
  • Collaborate on and support all company events and projects to maximise impact across channels, including popups
  • Build and maintain easy to access archive of digital assets
  • Input into internal brand training materials
  • Presenting a professional image for the brand at all touch points online and at face to face opportunities, ensuring all internal and external teams (including partners, talent, subcontractors, customers and general public) are treated with respect.
  • International travel for projects from time to time
  • Other duties as required from time to time 

 

This is a permanent full-time role, based in Hackney, East London.

You are creative, highly resourceful and a great communicator. Ultimately, you are able to effectively connect our brand with existing and new communities, and our online customers to increase our market share and ensure brand consistency.

We’re a very small London satellite to the main Feng Chen Wang operation in Shanghai, so you will need to be able to work independently as part of the small London team, with some evening and weekend work required from time to time due to the fast paced nature of the fashion industry.

  • Extensive experience with all main social media platforms, (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok, Spotify) and associated tools in particular relation to commerce/shopping.
  • Awareness and understanding of Luxury fashion and current SM tools and trends.
  • Able to take ownership and initiative on social platforms and projects.
  • Experience with Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; as well as other Adobe Creative Suite such as Premiere or video editing
  • Excellence in copywriting and understanding tone-of-voice
  • Proven ability to capture and edit engaging assets (still/video) with iphone.
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling, social distribution and analytics
  • Able to juggle and prioritise a fast paced busy workload.
  • Confident working independently and productively as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Open to sharing ideas and accepting constructive feedback.
  • Full of passion, energy and enthusiasm and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about trends, editorial, fashion, art, pop culture and global events of today
