The Director will act as the central point of contact for the Vice President- Store & Brand Experience, internal Store & Brand Experience teams, and stakeholders. This individual will oversee and manage the daily operations of the team in support of the Vice President's vision and objectives. This role will be responsible for project management including prioritizing central deliverables in support of business initiatives and project timelines. A key responsibility of this role is cross-functional communication to ensure all departments and partners are up to date and aligned with the Store & Brand Experience goals. This individual will ensure the department is run effectively and provide leadership to the team in areas of project feedback and validation, global operations, staff development and creative workshops/summits.

Key Accountabilities
  • Act as primary liaison for Store Design, Creative Visual Merchandising, Archives, Creative Strategy & Identity, Events & Exhibitions and the VP, Global Store & Brand Experience regarding project updates, feedback and planning internally within the team as well as cross-functional partners.
  • Oversee prioritization and follow up in collaboration with the VP; generate correspondences, proactively prepare team communications, ensure required documents are prepared and executed, as well as planning preparation and coordinating meeting agendas, documents/drawings.
  • Ensure projects assigned to the central team and cross-functional partners and in partnership with the VP VM Operations & Planning are well managed by focusing on the project process, documentation, resources, and delivery timeline.
  • Partner with VP, Store & Brand Experience to identify business priorities and provide next steps for central team.
  • Ensure decisions are being made at the appropriate level and involve collaborative partners as necessary.
  • Lead and/or attend project meetings to ensure deliverables are in-line with the schedule/milestones; provide updates on key project information and critical issues to team members, identify roadblocks in the Design process, and provide solutions for designers and cross-functional partners.
  • Coordinate document review (including drawings, renderings and materials); evaluate, compile and summarize critical issues per project to present at Review meetings.
  • Strategize on global process improvements including project needs and resources in partnership with VP, Planning and Operations.
  • Responsible for creating, developing, preparing and delivering creative and technical workshops as well as strategic summits.
  • Responsible for cross-functional communication with multiple partners to achieve deliverables.
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to ensure the team has critical updates.
  • Ensure communications are streamlined and maintained in an orderly process.
  • In conjunction with leadership, support the organizational evolution of the team.
  • Partner with the VP, Global Store & Brand Experience to foster a culture of design that focuses on inspiration, positivity, creativity, design innovation, knowledge, and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and build staff capabilities through programs that improve individual, technical, and design skills.
  • Champion team efforts to benefit the brand, product, and creative process while maintaining collaborative relationships with internal divisions and outside groups.
  • Partner with leaders and operations to for budget planning and expenditures for the Store & Brand Experience department.
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the team relating to staff, business, and financial operations.
  • Oversee, lead and develop 1-2 direct reports in support of the broader global team.
  • Provide daily oversight of direct reports as they assist with the daily support and operations of the department and leadership team.
  • Share best practices and department goals with direct reports to achieve results.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in creative operations or related field including 5+ years in a managerial role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Diplomatic communicator with a focus on collaboration.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead management and team meetings, events and impactful communications.
  • Extensive experience creating, preparing and delivering persuasive presentations with creative/design vision and materials.
  • Ability to understand challenges and underlying concerns while sharing ideas and developing effective responses or elevate to higher management.
  • Demonstrated project management, process improvement and process excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a positive, proactive, solution-oriented and be a top contributor in a creative environment.
  • Luxury experience preferred

The hiring range for this position ranges from $159,120 - $224,640 . The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
