Associate Technical Designer

Job Summary: The Associate Technical Designer will assist senior level TD’s in all levels of designing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create spec sheets clearly; communicating components, fabrics, cutting information, drawing, measurements, and sewing instructions needed for proto and production
• Create illustrator technical sketches as required for accounts
• Communicate with factories regarding questions
• Measure and evaluate development and production garments
• Maintain tracking reports and follow up on sample requirements for accounts
• Be able to work with deadlines
• Work with Patternmaker, Designer, Product Managers and Sample Makers
• All other duties as assigned by the Technical Services Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:  High School or GED equivalent; BS in Fashion Design, Associate Degree.

Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in Tech Design.

 Skills:

• Must have knowledge of basic computer skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly to manufacturers, vendors and sewers
• Must be able to lead fittings and evaluate fit corrections
• Must have good knowledge of garment construction
• Must possess Illustrator/Photoshop experience

Travel: N/A

Working Conditions:

• Office Mon thru Fri 8 hrs./day – some hybrid work available Overtime as needed

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk 8 hours/day Vision requirements correctable to 20/20 vision
