Position Overview
Responsible for all payroll tax activities and the most complex payroll transactions, including ensuring compliance and timely filing with local, state, provinces, and federal regulations. Ensure that all payroll records remain in balance gross to net, tax information is correct, correct taxable wages, and that year-end reports accurately reflect all necessary earnings and deductions. Additional responsibility also includes maintaining payroll-related accounts and provides accounting assistance in reconciliation and month-end reporting to the general ledger.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Ensure accurate W2/T4 reporting of all year-end items such as non-cash compensation, moving and relocation · Reconcile 941s to general ledger and W-2s/ T4s · Prepare Tax filing adjustments to employees when necessary (W-2/T4, W-2C/T4C) · Balance and reconcile quarterly payroll taxes · Prepare quarterly analysis of tax funding versus liabilities · Review correspondence between Equifax, ADP, and taxing authorities for Payroll tax concerns · Responsible for review and tracking of unemployment claims and Garnishment · Produce Quarterly Payroll Metrics as needed · Respond to any inquires related to general ledger activity · Review all Payroll general ledger accounts for corrections and reclassification · Responsible for the auditing and reconciling of the Payroll Bank Account · Responsible for compliance of unclaimed wages & maintain unclaimed wages reconciliation account for both US and Canada · Review and maintain monthly account analysis for assigned payroll balance sheet accounts and ensure the financial integrity and accountability for all payroll transactions · Ensure all equity transactions update payroll with correct wage and tax reporting · Applying knowledge of multi-state payroll tax rules to ensure accurate tax set-up for employees · Regularly review and maintain configuration of earnings and deduction to be compliant · Back-up to PR Manager · Lead payroll related special projects in support of corporate initiatives and respond to regulatory changes · Research laws and regulations regarding payroll taxes and payroll withholding procedures, and in preparing projections, and special reports for management

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Position requires experience in Payroll Tax and Accounting practices and procedures, and knowledge of US and Canada Payroll Processing · Proficiency with multiple state payroll taxes · Proficient in account reconciliations and journal entries · Direct experience operating ADP Enterprise EV5/ADP WFN, SAP experience is a plus · Prior Manager/Supervisory experience · Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office/Suite · Must be detail oriented, accurate, and able to provide solid audit trails from reports to transaction data · Must be reliable, able to prioritize, and multitask to meet critical deadlines and work well under pressure · Must possess excellent customer service, organization, and follow-up skills · Ability to preserve confidentiality, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills · Experience in ADP payroll (Enterprise) preferred · Excellent report writing skills
