Summary of Duties

The CR Advisor, Turkey manages the CR, Compliance and Sustainability Programs for PVH in EMEA, with specific emphasis on Turkey. She/he provides support for the holistic CR program at the vendor and factory level (including coordination of social and environmental assessments), ensures that all vendors/factories comply with PVH's CR requirements and provides support and strategic guidance on Remediation and Capacity Building Programs in-region.

Coordinate general Management of Operational Excellence Activities in Turkey
  • Monitor performance against the annual CR assessment plan for Turkey and ensure all factories in the supply chain are being monitored in adherence with global SOPs.
  • Monitor Elevate performance and provide support and guidance where needed
  • Support the onboarding process of new vendors and/or factories in Turkey through coordinating with respective business divisions.
  • Review the assessment reports, where needed and for special cases, and evaluate the findings and escalate any alerts. Recommend and approve CR ratings for the facilities according to applicable SOPs.
  • Schedule meetings with vendors where needed to discuss progress on remediation and any challenges.
  • Coordinate and, where applicable, develop capacity building and remediation initiatives with vendors in Turkey.
  • Coordinate PVH CR Strategy (Forward Fashion) programs with the respective focal people, e.g. Workplace Communication program and P.A.C.E. program at selected vendors in Turkey.
  • Be a dedicated CR advisor to Turkey Sourcing Hub team to help build a strong supply network in Turkey.
  • Develop effective partnerships with other internal stakeholders (e.g. supply teams, raw materials team, Quality Assurance teams).
  • Work with the corporate CR team and other regional CR teams to ensure alignment on SOP's and drive global consistency.
  • Only when necessary and approved by CR Manager, to conduct onsite assessments to facilities.


Issues Management
  • Manage IM inquiries as appropriate and escalate where required.
  • Work alongside the CR Manager EMEA and relevant sourcing teams to close out issues on a timely basis.
  • Manage on a weekly basis the IM log and Escalation Briefing Bulletin for Turkey


Internal Engagement
  • Frequent communication with CR Corporate and Offshore team members / peers for factory engagement, assessments, report, CAP development, compliance issues and Training & Capacity Building program, identify challenges and provide suggestions
  • Regular contacts with Elevate Outsourcing Support Team (EVT OT) for factory assessment arrangement and CAP development & engagement
  • Regular contacts with PVH Turkey Sourcing Office to share updates and seek support where needed.


External Engagement
  • Frequent contacts with vendors and factories for both Social and Environmental compliance issues and Capacity Building/Training arrangement.
  • Irregular contacts with other stakeholders, e.g. Peer group and service providers for collaboration / assessment / Capacity Building/ Training arrangement / local trade unions and NGO's (where appropriate).


Decision Making
  • To influence all key decisions in Turkey with direct manager and regional CR leader
  • To manage exceptions in CR Assessments, Ratings, Programs, Timelines and Processes for Turkey
  • To decide whether to raise alerts and concerns to the management and sourcing regarding factory situation
  • To make recommendations for Training & Capacity Building programs to direct manager and regional CR leader

Environment
  • Travel is required.
  • Unsocial working hours are possible.


Position Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Applied science or University degree; Master's Degree an advantage.
  • Background in CR or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Turkish Labor Code, and other local regulations related to social compliance issues, i.e. trade unions, occupational health and safety, etc.
  • Passion for sustainability, innovation and making a change.
  • Strong English and Turkish communication skills, including both written and verbal communication
  • Great team player and people motivator.
  • Ability to build open and transparent work relations.
  • Eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Sensitive to delicate issues.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
