Primary Purpose:

Reports to VP, Product Development & Production. Working with the cross-functional team on the costing issue, providing support as needed. Well awareness of job responsibility and standardize the guideline for daily work to get good efficiency.

Job duties:
  • Ensure robust costing procedure and methodology for both finished product and midsole and outsole components.
  • Have a strong ability to effectively handle supplier negotiations with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • A proactive approach to finding value and initiating strategies to mitigate cost.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within the team and build strong partnerships within the product development team located in Asia and New York.
  • Manage and coach a small team and devote time and energy to upskilling and developing our talent.
  • UsePROCAM to provide yield analysis to ensure that material yield calculations are accurate and provide suggestions to the development team on how we could improve material efficiencies.
  • Lead the special project as required (Including providing feedback and inputs into the design of new systems and procedures)


Dimensions:
  • Manage the costing aspect of all vendors, collaborate with all the cross-functional teams within Tapestry if needed


Requirements:
  • 7 years or above of costing experience, including at least one year of managerial position.
  • Product development and manufacturing essential, leather manufacturing a plus
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills to make reasonable judgments on cost. Good numbers, details-minded.
  • Proficient in English
