What you will be doing

The Strategy function is part of ISG business unit, that combines Intelligence, Strategy and Growth functions. It supports Group management with defining Group's long-term vision and strategy, and acts as a custodian of strategic planning process. The Strategy team aims at being a driving force allowing the Group to achieve its strategic ambition and to strengthen its competitive advantages in an ever-changing and challenging environment. It also serves as an "internal consulting" hub supporting business unit strategies and select strategic projects through leadership and advisory.

The Strategy Manager role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about actively taking part in the Group's strategic planning and medium- to long-term development, working on the formulation of the major goals and initiatives with the Group's top management.

Key Responsibilities:

On Group level

- Interact and work with C-Level to participate in defining the Group's long-term vision and strategy
- Support the determination of the strategic 3-year plan and identify key requirements to drive its execution
- Assess the Group's operational and strategic performance (financial and business analysis)
- Support Group strategic initiatives and new ventures through analysis and advisory

For our business units and brands

- Act as an "internal consulting" support for delivery of strategic projects for the Group's different business units and brands (in beauty, fashion, homeware and new categories)
- Work closely with BU/brand management teams to develop strategic avenues in accordance with the BU's/brand's vision and operational constraints
- Lead projects or project modules, from initial planning (project scoping, problem structuring and hypothesis development) to execution (strategic framework development, qualitative and quantitative analysis conduction, internal & external interviews) to formulation of business recommendations
- Liaise and collaborate closely with the Strategic Insights team to leverage market insights and data
- Drive strategic thinking at Group level and drive thought leadership on topics that are relevant to our industries in the region

- Keep up to date with current trends in the luxury industry from the region and across the world, and understand how this impact our business environment
- Build long lasting relationships with internal stakeholders to anticipate their competitor landscape and future needs

- Delegate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely preparation of deliverables
- Lead and empower team members to ensure growth and professional development of the team whether through technical upskilling or coaching

What you'll need to succeed

- Experience working in one of the top strategy consulting firms (at least 3 years)
- Graduate of a top-tier university (MBA or an equivalent master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or a related field)
- Excellent analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills
- Storylining and workstream structuring
- Experience in strategic planning and measuring success
- Knowledge of business operations and procedures
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Creating presentations and data visualisations to present to decision makers
- Understanding of market research and data analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with diverse set of senior stakeholders
- Prior experience in managing projects
- Leadership skills and ability in coaching others
- Personal interest in retail and/or luxury
- Global experience is a must; experience in GCC is preferred, however not a requirement
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai
