Responsible for designing and implementing Power BI enterprise technology solutions. This includes support for all aspects of the Power BI cloud platform, development standards, vendor oversight, oversight of Tiffany business teams, and general Power BI roadmap.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Power BI platform
  • Be accountable for technical design and architecture
  • Lead coordination with other IT and business teams on requirements
  • Maintain and improve Power BI development standards and best practices
  • Ensure platform is scaled for performance
  • Provide authority input to BI strategic roadmap
  • Power BI development
  • Craft and develop Power BI data models for reporting that supports self-service
  • Design and develop Power BI reports that meet business requirement
  • Oversight of usage by business teams
  • Ensure regular collaboration with business teams to provide oversight of Power BI activities
  • Understand business needs and usage patterns as input into BI strategy
  • Oversight of vendor development
  • Review vendor proposals for Power BI projects


Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience
  • 2+ years leading Power BI platform and content
  • 5+ years running comparable BI platform and content (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
  • Confirmed hands-on experience with Power BI administration and development
  • Superb communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work optimally with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
  • Dedication to delivering high quality solutions
  • A passion for staying up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices
  • A positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level regardless of the complexity of delivery


Preferred:
  • Global experience both from working with global business units and leading international delivery teams in matrixed organizations
  • Ability to mentor and guide teams
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile development methodologies with a good working understanding of both Jira and Confluence.
  • A solid understanding of business transformation, agile software development and change
