Primary Purpose: The Director of Real Estate will provide support to a diverse and dynamic real estate portfolio for established, iconic brands. The Director will be passionate about Tapestry's brands but also have zeal for the changing retail landscape and will be a creative dealmaker. This role requires the ability to project manage and communicate across the TPR organization to drive Real Estate actions to completion. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Real Estate to...
  • Negotiate new deals, renewals, relocations, closures, renovations and subleases, on behalf of Tapestry.
  • Negotiate leases, lease amendments, co-tenancy violations & kick outs in partnership with Legal
  • Lead site selection and portfolio optimization strategy on behalf of Tapestry's North American portfolio.
  • Travel to markets for store visits & market evaluation, up to 1-2x per month, in order to review potential new locations or relocation opportunities, and to understand relevant and emerging retail trends.
  • Identify financial and business trends within the portfolio and make data- driven decisions by utilizing department analytical tools
  • Maintain key landlord relationships and build network within the retail industry (i.e. real estate brokers, landlord partners, and counterparts at other retailers)
  • Partner with Global Environments team to secure project scope, timelines, budgets and funding for all capital projects
  • Create and present materials to brand and senior level executives during Real Estate Brand Meetings, and Global Store Development Presentations
  • Oversee and provide support to any arising facilities or architecture issues portfolio wide.
  • Support each brand's Business Development Long Range Plan & Annual Operating Plan creation.
  • Populate deal pipeline to accurately reflect negotiation status and communicate/identify key timelines for partners.
  • Partner with operations and finance on securing sales forecasts & proformas.
  • Support business in Special Projects with Planning, Mar keting, Visual, Legal and Store Operations
