The Inventory Control Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and maintaining inventory accuracy both physically and within
JDE. This position monitors processes striving for a 98% inventory accuracy level of components and materials. Responsible
for analyzing, remedying and reporting Inventory variances and accuracy. Ensuring that all systematic transactions involving
precious gems and metals are accurately captured. Monitor the movement of the material and ensuring it is continuous and
efficient. Considered a subject matter expert in details pertaining to Level I, Level II and Level III Inventory Control
responsibilities. Assist by performing inventory receiving, picking and cycle counting transactions when needed. Assist when
necessary in back flush, scrap entries, cycle counts, etc. to lead by example within the IC group.
Works independently and oversees work flow with support from team members and management. Responsible for
overseeing the flow of goods through shipping/receiving and inventory control and daily work flow (work orders, scrap
entries, back flush, receiving/shipping, and finished goods). Assist with creating and implementing new hire training and
existing cross training in inventory control. Work in inventory control to assess areas of late or back logs and ensure smooth
and efficient timely orders. Ensure proper flow of all activities.
Safety: Identify workplace hazards, assist in the investigation of incidents and
acknowledge safe work behaviors. Escalate issues or safety concerns to supervisor
immediately; model safe working habits and ensure a safe environment for all team
members. Actively participate in safety team meetings and initiatives. Ensure weekly
safety activities are completed. Always Critical Necessary
Inventory Accuracy: Oversee inventory accuracy maintaining 98% accuracy and daily
Cycle Counts led by the Inventory Control Coordinator III. Analyze Reconcile and Report
accuracy to Management. Investigate discrepancies, communicate issues and drive root
cause corrective actions. Maintain accurate records based on Tiffany & Co. record
retention guidelines. Provide support to co-workers, attend meetings and report on
any metrics in the absence of the Materials Manager. 15% Critical Necessary
Training: IC Team Lead will assist with creating and implementing new hire training and
facilitate cross training in inventory control. Train and develop workforce on the
inventory control aspects of all products and processes. Confirm rotations and
schedules to support workload. 15% Critical Necessary
Oversee Flow of Materials: Role is responsible to oversee the flow of goods through
shipping/receiving and inventory control. Responsible for daily work flow (work orders,
scrap entries, back flush, receiving/shipping, and finished goods). Responsible for
ensuring picking is completed two days prior start date, shipping finished goods
daily, receiving within 4-6 hours, and daily scrap entries and back flush entries.
Confirm proper coverage to support workload. Escalate concerns and training opportunities observed to manager. Pitch in where necessary in back flush, scrap entries, cycle counts, etc. Partner with Manager to ensure proper flow of components to the floor and work towards monthly shipment goals.
Required Qualifications: ·
Minimum 3 -5 years previous experience in a computerized inventory control environment · Effective verbal and written communication skills in English · Advanced computer skills: MS Word, Excel and Outlook · Intermediate-Advanced excel skills required. Ability to generate, manage, format, sort, generate pivot tables, filters, V-lookups, and basic sum, multiply, divide formulas in an excel spreadsheet. · Strong mathematical skills are required; ability to understand and handle conversion rates and ratios · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with exceptional detail with accuracy · Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize · Capable of handling multiple tasks on a daily basis when required · Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a disciplined environment · Ability to work overtime on short notice in support of business needs. This includes weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: · Associates or Bachelor's Degree · Advanced training and mastery of excel · Previous experience in a high security industry preferred but not necessary · Previous Inventory Control, Administrative, Shipping Receiving or related industry experience · Proficiency with JD Edwards, or equivalent inventory control related software systems · Management and supervisory experience.
