Acne Studios is looking for a Head of Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience for a 1-year contract to cover a maternity leave. The main mission is to lead a global team of visual creatives and both co-ordinate & execute visual coherence across the brand through a 360-degree approach.

The role

In this role you will oversee our global visual merchandising strategy and implementation and manage regional display initiatives and ensure they correspond to HQ standards and objectives. The role will be based at our HQ in Stockholm and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and update seasonal visual strategies alongside buying and merchandising teams
  • Review global VM execution, collating constructive feedback and recommendations to share with global and regional teams
  • Coach the Global VM Coordinator, Brand Experience Coordinator, and Regional Visual Managers and oversee their workflow
  • Partner with global sales managers to assess visual needs in the wholesale space
  • Direct the design and development of in-store installations/activations/events
  • Manage seasonal showroom creative, design and production
  • Manage store music selection
  • Develop and support design and execution of global store openings
  • Collaborate on design and development for visual props and tools
  • Conduct market visits to review progress, issues and new business opportunities and participate in on-site top priority installations.
  • Analyze competitor activity to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry


To be successful in this role we believe that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years managerial experience
  • 6+ years a similar design-centric role within fashion or creative industries at a global level
  • Strong understanding of the creative development process, from concept to delivery
  • Excellent eye for detail and visual aesthetics
  • Proven experience in delivering multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey ideas and engage stakeholders
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to travel, flexible schedule and ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Strong understanding of the creative development process, from concept to delivery
