Job Overview:

Private Brands is a pillar of the RTW merchandise strategy. The Senior Coordinator of Merchandising, Private Brands (RTW) offers a unique opportunity to be an entrepreneur and true business owner, with a holistic approach. The Senior Coordinator is responsible for driving regional/trade area sales, partnering with the merchant and store teams, maintaining floor standards and act as the brands ambassador. The Senior Coordinator has a valuable role in maximizing sales, supporting the stores and servicing the Bloomingdale's customer.

Essential Functions:
  • Partner with key store executives to execute best floor standards, strategize events/promotions, review sales, develop brand advocates, and identify opportunities to drive the business, focusing on top trends
  • Distort time, approximately 40%, in designated focus doors
  • Merchandise the floor, set new deliveries and ensure mannequins are updated and in line with directives and key item strategy
  • Ensure that all logistics (markdowns, RTV's, re-tickets, signage) are being organized and executed on a weekly basis
  • Communicate weekly with the Buying Office/Store teams to identify best/worst sellers, voids in the assortment, and feedback on fit, quality and pricing
  • Schedule monthly touch-bases with GM and AGM in each store to review business and set a seasonal action plan
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and ownership of the business by tracking sales, analyzing weekly selling by style and classification, and setting appropriate goals to meet/exceed the sales plan
  • Lead morning meetings, in person and virtually, to present new deliveries and highlight key components of each brand
  • Review each brands markdown rate vs. total company and unit goals (in Cashmere) with Store Team to understand the importance of regular price selling
  • Monitor shipping through Store Pipeline to prepare each store for the arrival and placement of new deliveries and schedule store visits accordingly
  • Train and educate colleagues on Bloomingdale's merchandise standards, key trends, fit, and styling, as well as bestsellers, re-orders and delivery of merchandise
  • Conduct seasonal/monthly product seminars for each brand and complete the certification for Cashmere
  • Allocate time on the selling floor to help service customers during key events
  • Be an advocate for the trade area communicating local opportunities and competitive insight

Qualifications and Competencies:

Associate's Degree and 3-5 years direct experience required

3-5 years related experience

  • Detailed oriented about product knowledge

  • Able to use and navigate multiple technological devices
  • Enjoys meeting and interacting with customers; demonstrates strong interpersonal skills


Physical Requirements:
  • Requires periods of walking, standing, hearing, talking, reaching with extended arms, crouching and climbing ladders
  • Frequent use of computers and other office equipment
  • Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
