Associate Pro duct Manager - Finance

The Neiman Marcus Business Relationship Management team is seeking an Associate Product Manager (APM) to focus on Financial and Order Management System (OMS) process areas. The APM will be passionate about advocating for the customer, has excellent product instincts, a desire for creating great experiences, a data-centric mindset, agile thinking, and the willingness to challenge the status quo.

As the Finance and OMS APM, you'll be responsible for working alongside our business stakeholders and technical partners to build capabilities and create new processes that enable our Finance Processes related to Order Management. You'll lead initiatives dedicated to improving backend Finance, Settlement and Reconciliation processes to ultimately transition the company away from legacy practices into more efficient processes. The ideal candidate for this role would not only have experience working in an agile environment, but also possess a deep understanding of Order Management and ERP systems as well as knowledge of Retail Merchandising processes.

What You'll Do :

Business Relationship Management
  • Builds relationships with Business Process Owners and key internal stakeholders to understand strategic goals to support Product Portfolios and program level strategies.
  • Builds strong working relationships with teams across the organization & key stakeholders to help facilitate awareness and support of business strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitors project KPI's to measure the effectiveness of product enhancements within the Business.
  • Educates and evangelizes best practices throughout organization to build awareness of impact to business and ensure alignment for cross-team initiatives.

Product Portfolio Planning
  • Manages Business request intake, e valuates backlog and facilitates prioritization of Technology requests with Business Owners , cross-functional Product Owners, and Technology partners.
  • Monitors project KPI's to measure the effectiveness of product enhancements within the Business.

Product Management & Project Execution
  • Ability to facilitate business requirements sessions to create output including Business requirements, Business use cases, Gap Analysis and Business Process flows .
  • Support s operational readiness tasks by performing product demos, overviews & presenting training materials to support adoption and usage of the Finance and OMS systems.
  • Partners with Support team to research issues related to changing trends, behaviors, or performance to identify impact to Business and prioritize critical product issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external vendor partners to help solve customer and business problems and collaborate to drive for new innovations in products and services that best meet business needs and strategy.

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to deliver expected results on time
  • Must have extremely strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain and develop internal and external relationships; collaborating across multiple business and technology functions, relationship building, and consensus building are essential
  • Self-motivated and results oriented individual able to work independently and work collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and communicate with technical and non-technical audience

Education & Work History Requirements
  • Experience in Order Management Systems and ideally Payment Processing/Settlement
  • Experience with Manhattan Order Management System (MAO) is optimal, but not required
  • 3+ Years of experience in Product, Customer Experience, User Experience Design, and/or Software delivery
  • Passion for working in a fast Retail commerce environment is a must!
  • JIRA and Confluence as tools for Agile Project Management
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or other related field
  • Full-time
