We are looking for a driven, passionate legal professional with to join PVH Legal Team as our Senior Legal Counsel.

The role will provide subject matter expertise on a broad range of employment laws, privacy laws and general commercial operational issues that may arise across the company's Asia Pacific countries.

You will work cross globally with members in the Center of Excellence and with other internal business teams to drive fashion forward - for good.

Oversee and manage legal issues for PVH across the APAC region and all of its brands, including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, and provide well-informed, timely and practical legal counseling to your business partners on the ground.

  • Provide, and oversee the provision of, general Legal advice and support to regional and local business teams, retail operations, e-commerce. This includes drafting, review and negotiation of various types of agreements as well as providing legal advices.
  • Keep abreast of latest development of rules and regulations which are related to or affecting operations.
  • Draft and engage in contract negotiations for the countries in Asia Pacific Region and maintain standardized contract review and administration.
  • Provide professional advice and practical solutions to issues arising during business operations.
  • Design and implement trainings or directions internally on matters related to sound business practices and corporate governance in relation to the subject matters.
  • Establish effective business partnerships and provide Legal support with different stakeholders.
  • Effectively supervise and instruct external service providers on a wide range of issues.
  • Provides support on different assignments as allocated from time to time.

Employment related
  • Be the go-to person providing legal support to our Asia Pacific local and regional HR Department and other stakeholders on a broad range of employment-related matters.
  • Provide legal support in developing internal policies, processes and guidelines in employment-related matters such as benefits and rewards, retirement schemes, inclusion and diversity.
  • Provide legal support for handling and management of labour disputes, employment-related claims, enquiries or investigations.

Privacy related
  • Be the go-to-person for privacy legal support for Asia Pacific countries. Responsible for regional data privacy in markets in the region to assess, implement and maintain the highest standard privacy programs while in compliance with PVH Corp. privacy commitment as well as local privacy regulations.
  • Support the Global Privacy Director to implement privacy guidelines, processes, commitment; maintain champion networks; review privacy impact assessments for onboarding vendors;
  • Conduct region wide data privacy risk assessment where needed, prepare gap analysis reports and implement mitigation project plans; together with the Global Privacy Director, update the Asia Data Privacy Steering Committee to operationalize data governance and further drive data minimization initiatives within the markets
  • Provide data privacy advice on various consumer facing digital projects and brand activation events;
  • Partner with the Information Security Group to drive data privacy compliance pertaining to local data protection laws, Monitor the DPO mailbox for local countries including China, Singapore and Korea.
  • Managed the intake of data incident questionnaires and together with the Global Privacy Director provided direction to the team to determine next steps on data incidents.

COMMUNICATION: Provides information effectively so others can make accurate decisions; able to write clearly and succinctly so others understand issues and options; deals comfortably with all levels within the organization; is able to effectively present facts as well as controversial topics. Able to influence people and defend recommendations throughout the company.

ENVIRONMENT: Occasional travel (~5%) on ad hoc basis.


  • Qualified lawyer with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in leading law firms and in-house.
  • Experience in MNC(s) is a must; Demonstrate familiarity with business and legal practices in commercial operations in FMCG operations, apparel industry is a plus.
  • Experience dedicated to any of employment law, privacy, data protection and security.

Education: J.D., LL.B or its equivalent required.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. High level of accuracy in work, attentive to details
  • Knowledge, experience, skills proven track record of ability to very competently lead a complex area of responsibility
  • Solid experience in contracts drafting and negotiation
  • Self-motived, willing to listen and learn, ability to work under tight deadlines; ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high pressure environment
  • Good organizational and time management abilities with proficiency to multi-task and prioritize workload; solid decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with service and collaborative orientation
  • Excellent written and oral English and Chinese, Putonghua is a must, Japanese language is preferred
