JOB PURPOSE

Located within the IT function that supports our Product, Supply Chain and Sustainability business partners, the IT Test Manager will be responsible for creating and managing the Testing framework across various Programmes and Projects within these capabilities. The IT Test Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that solutions are tested prior to deployment in line with the Test framework. The IT Test Manager will ensure that solutions meet quality and performance requirements by ensuring that every test effort is effectively planned, monitored, and executed, and that core activities required by the testing framework are completed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with solutions delivery teams and tower leads to establish a Test framework and cohesive approach to testing
  • Establish the governance process to ensure adherence to the Test framework
  • Collaborate with Testing Managers to create a process for the execution of all required test phases - unit, system, integration, and functional acceptance
  • Embed flexibility in the testing processes to account for testing across multiple types of services on multiple types of platforms
  • Identify additional Test Management tooling requirements and facilitate the procurement of the required tools
  • Own the adoption of additional Test Management tools and deliver training to solutions teams as needed to ensure the effective and efficient usage of the tools
  • Define the required testing deliverables (testing scenarios, conditions, scripts, control sheets, etc.) and ensure that they are created throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Lead the setup of automated, risk based and intelligent testing to optimise regression testing
  • Execute review cycles including informal review, formal review, testing sign-off and quality assurance review
  • Partnership with our Product Managers, Programme/Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Architects as well as external 3rd party collaborators to identify and implement the optimal testing environments, approaches, and outcomes
  • Ensure that testing efforts are effectively planned, monitored, and executed and the core activities required by the testing process are completed in a structured and consistent manner
  • Execute review cycles covering formal and informal reviews, testing sign-offs and Test progress reviews
  • Engage and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders including Service Transition and Support Operations teams to ensure effective deployment and transition of solutions into live environment
  • Monitor the performance of live services, and adjust the Test framework and testing processes as necessary


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • 5+ years Test Management & Test Execution lead experience
  • Professional / Hands-On experience with Test Management Tool HP ALM
  • Experience with Large scale, complex projects across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with large, disperse teams & across different time zones
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely
