GANNI IS LOOKING FOR A BAGS AND SMALL LEATHER GOODS DEVELOPER TO JOIN OUR ACCESSORIES TEAM IN PARIS FOR A 6 MONTHS MATERNITY COVER. 
 

YOUR MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES AHEAD OF YOU
As a Bags and Soft Accessories developer, you will be working in close corporation with our existing product development manager and the accessory design team.

The developer will handle all tasks related to bags and small leather goods throughout both the development stage as well as production.

This includes sourcing, supplier selection, preparing set-ups, prototyping, price negotiation, ensuring final fit and preparing production comments, keeping the critical path, as well as securing quality and quantity in correspondence with the demand and planning teams.

The developer will be in close contact with Suppliers, and the position also holds the creation and maintenance of product master data throughout the products lifecycle.
 

You will be working independently but as part of the full product team with;

  • Sourcing new responsible materials 
  • Supervise and support the Junior Developer on all the soft accessories: hats / scarves / socks/tights / sunglasses / hair accessories 
  • Prepare and distribute style set up for suppliers
  • Elaboration of development planning in order to have more development time 
  • development process with the suppliers: sending tech files, and comments, fixing technical issues, following up on samples and sms reception 
  • Price negotiation and calculations (ensuring target margins) / retail prices proposals/pricing structure proposal to the merch team 
  • Approval of sample invoices for payment 
     

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

We need a team player with a high sense of the fashion business:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Development of Bags and Accessories
  • Technical skills in bags and good apparel understanding in general.
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Understanding of critical timelines related to the fashion industry
  • Flair for working with multiple digital tools and platforms and high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft NAVISION is an advantage

The position is required to travel to visit suppliers as well as participate in relevant meetings at GANNI HQ in Copenhagen
