Design Assistant

We are looking for a Freelance Design Assistant to join our growing team.

Role:

Chasing first prototype samples from suppliers

Colour selection & pantone colour matching

Update collection overviews: digitally in Adobe InDesign & physical

Fabric library: organising and filing 

Use of Adobe creative suite: basic print work such as colour & scale changes in Photoshop & technical spec drawings in Adobe Illustrator. 

Trend research

Support with preparation for photoshoots and keeping shoot sample list up to date 

Logging press samples in/out of the business 

Maintaining rails and sample wardrobe 

Take meeting notes at weekly production meetings

Support in fittings: steaming, taking notes, photographing, organizing samples etc.

Admin checks labdips & bulk cloth and preps against colour standard for Buyer/Design approval.

Filing - labdips/bulk cloths/test reports/Fabric certificates/ PO’s etc

Generally support Designer & Buying/Production team

You are:

A recent design/buying graduate 

Enthusiastic, proactive & enthusiastic

Have a keen interest in sustainability 

Flexible & hard working
