Position Overview
The attorney in this role will be given the opportunity to advise the Company and its senior management in the areas of corporate compliance, ESG and sustainability, entity management, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and philanthropy. The role reports to the Head of Global Corporate, Securities & Intellectual Property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage corporate compliance program and corporate policies
• Advise on compliance matters in areas of anti-corruption/anti-bribery, and anti-money laundering
• Advise on global entity management and corporate governance
• Assist with all ESG and sustainability matters, including regulatory compliance, public disclosure/reporting, rankings
• Serve as thought leader on all aspects of ESG governance and best practices by closely following legal, regulatory, and market developments and trends
• Support the business with all ESG-related transactions
• Advise on commercial contracts
• Assist with corporate philanthropy matters and Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation matters
• Provide responsive and effective legal support and guidance to the business as needed
• Provide other in-house legal services as needed
• Interest in Intellectual Property is a plus.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• J.D. degree from law school and member of New York or New Jersey bar
• Knowledge of corporate sustainability, corporate responsibility, or ESG best practices
• An understanding of domestic and foreign regulatory regimes, experience with the various ESG reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., SASB, TCFD, etc.), and knowledge of emerging SEC disclosure priorities
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Talent for multi-tasking, prioritizing, following through, and taking ownership of projects
• Excellent business judgment, discretion and the ability to assess legal risk
• Professionalism and poise in communication across functions and levels, whether with colleagues, counterparts or otherwise
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
• Self-directed, solution-focused individual with strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve enterprise-wide results.
