Controls Engineer, Industrial Automation & Supply Chain
Primary responsibilities are to assist Facilities and Operations teams in the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of automated material handling equipment and warehouse control systems in all the distribution and fulfillment facilities. The Controls Engineer will design, direct, and maintain overview control systems for industrial material handling solutions. This includes the development of specifications, device layout drawings, control schematics, PLC logic, SCADA systems, and implementing solutions that deliver exceptional value. Controls Engineer will also work closely with project teams to design systems that meet or exceed requirements, review ongoing automation projects, and assist with full-scale implementation of ongoing supply chain projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supporting Projects
- Perform on-site commissioning, to implement and validate Control Systems design with Integrators.
- Validate ongoing performance of systems with goals of improving performance, reliability, and potential enhancements.
Optimize and Support Distribution Center Control Systems
- Provide/overview documentation and support for field wiring
- Optimize/troubleshoot and write (PLC) Programmable Logic Controller programs
- Configure HMIs and RTUs
- Configure and troubleshoot SCADA systems
- Perform Control Systems modeling and simulation
- Work closely with control and operations teams to develop enhanced offerings and improvements.
Controls solutions
- Provide guidance/direction in assistance with Lead Engineer to train and guide Controls Technicians for all sites
- Provide Control Systems technical support and training to local users
- Work closely with DC Operations and Distribution Engineers, for achieving Controls reporting and dashboard
- Design and implement Control Systems changes and improvements
- Perform other Control Systems related tasks/duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
- BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred or 3+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant coursework in Control Systems
- In-depth understanding of computer networks
- Have a strong interest in Industrial Automation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience with Dematic conveyors
