Position Overview
Objective: This is an exciting opportunity to join the childrenswear wholesale team as Key Account Manager. The key objective of the role is to develop clear strategic goals, financial plans, and new business opportunities for growth within the set CW key accounts which consist of Ecommerce and department stores.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Presenting and selling seasonal collections to buyers four times a year, ensuring targets are met and the assortment is in line with the brand strategy.
* Develop clear strategic goals, financial plans & new business opportunities & leverage resources to establish new avenues of growth executing them in a timely and effective manner.
* Day to day managing of key account retail performance; including weekly analysis of seasonal trade performance and monthly forecasting of pre-sale sell through to accurately forecast end of season sell through. Taking actions where necessary to improve performance.
* Forecasting of the country business by account both financially and at a product level for replenishment and pre book via interpreting and tracking past and present sales trend's, sell in and sell out, in order to develop a future forecast.
* Understand the sales drivers of the accounts to include replenishment, seasonal changes, promotional builds, in store inventory levels, distribution changes and sell out.
* Implementing new product developments and marketing strategies through understanding, communication to the client and reporting on the market trends.
* Supporting the Sales Manager in all aspects of developing the CSW business by offering experience & support to the sales team.
* Develop an effective relationship with internal business managers including brand planning, Customer service, finance, marketing & creative.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Key account understanding and relationships with UK Dept. Store & Ecommerce accounts preferably within childrenswear. · Commercially driven with a strong understanding and knowledge of the childrenswear market- competitor brands, positioning, pricing. · Analytical approach to work- confident interpreting and presenting numbers. · Presentation skills- both in person and virtually. · Influencing and negotiation skills. · Entrepreneurial spirit and approach to work with the ability to adapt and deal with fast paced and changing environments. · Excellent communication & Organisational skills.
* Strong computer skills: Excel, Power point and outlook.
