Position Overview
This position will support the Retail Store Opening under Information Technology team, reporting to Senior Technology Business Manager, Retail Projects, this position will be based in Lai Chi Kok Office. The Technology Business Manager, Retail Store Opening will be responsible for the following Scope.
* Scope, budget, procure and project manage all tasks associated with IT setup for new store opening, store renovation/ relocation and store closure projects
* Proactively pursue cost saving opportunities in relate to hardware procurement, process improvement and vendor management
* Ensure effective communication with retail team and business stakeholders in order to understand their store opening requirements
* Manage and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders throughout the whole project implementation period. Provide support and expertise during all phases of the IT project life cycle, including but not limited to, project planning, budget tracking, timeline, contract review, requirements gathering & documentation, network design & documentation, equipment staging configuration, resource planning, QA, SIT, UAT, deployment, hypercare, mitigation of project risks and governance
* Manage vendors and contractors, where appropriate, to prioritize & execute store opening projects to meet new store opening project schedules, requirements and budget
* Pursue innovative IT solutions & offerings. Act as an IT solution architect to drive discussions to achieve optimized solutions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Manage and contribute to successful IT deployment of retail stores opening projects.
* Manage vendors and co-work with the internal business teams to ensure the IT network infrastructure and store systems technologies are ready before new store opening. Hardware and software including but not limited to:
* Network devices (router, switch, access points) for VPN, Wi-Fi and other wireless solutions, Point of Sale (Oracle xStore), in-store inventory management, printers, payment gateway, traffic solutions, mobile solutions, omni-channel solutions, iPad, iPods
* Manage vendors to ensure they maintain high quality of service and provide post-implementation documents. Lead Quarterly Business Review with vendors to discuss pain points, recurring problems and identify improvement action items
* Travelling to the new stores to monitor IT setup process and user handover if needed
* Manage IT spending reconciliation for store opening projects. Ensure vendors provide accurate and timely billing based on terms defined in the contracts
* Preparation and maintenance of the store project schedule, requirement, staging guides, installation guides and support documents for handover to the support team
* Preparation and maintenance of standard operating procedure and process flows relates to store opening projects
* Compliance of all IT standards and Controls as related to Sarbanes Oxley and global IT standards
* Working with Global IT partners on standardization, best practices and global support model. Act as an ambassador to present APAC requirements during global discussion
* Partner with Retail IT Project Team to identify and investigate new technology opportunities where possible
* Work in an agile approach (document light, discussion heavy, regular small releases, high business participation, focus on what matters most)
* Conduct regular dialogue within IT and business departments to share knowledge and field experiences in order ensure continuous improvement of support and services
* Ensure that regular and appropriate communication takes place within the team, regardless of their level or location in the organization
* Ensure that all resources are managed and maintained to maximum personal development and business advantage
* Drive internal process improvement initiatives. Track results and provide regular updates to senior management

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Minimum 8 years IT experience; with process design and improvement experience
* Hands-on in store technology experience is advantageous - PC's, LAN, Servers, Network, POS, traffic solution inventory solutions, CRM solutions, hand held devices, etc.
* Working foundation and basic knowledge of retail store technologies including networking infrastructure, Firewalls, Active Directory and Windows in an enterprise environment, MDM platform (InTune)
* Experience with ERP solution (Microsoft D365) is a plus.
* Strong adaptor of collaboration tools including but not limited to Microsoft O365, Jira and Zoom
* Experience working with application teams to design and implement integration with back office systems
* Experienced in Agile/Scrum Environments
* Relevant Project Management methodology qualification
* Membership of relevant IT professional institution
* Project status tracking tools, templates and documentation
* Proficiency in operating Office365, creating Excel formulas and automating process, and designing PowerPoint presentations
* Logical reasoning skills and always eager to take the lead in discussions to identify and implement procedures that drive improvement Skills
* Operate with organizations spread over many countries; work within Global IT function
* Work as part of a large team and share information using technology effectively
* Retail industry experience is a plus but not mandatory
* Full project life-cycle management experience and Process Improvement/Re-engineering experience
* Managing support through 3rd party arrangements; manage onshore/offshore project teams involved in the project development and support
* Able to work across multiple departments and with stakeholders in different countries and companies and manage various reviews and sign offs as part of delivery
* Able to identify problems and ensure the prioritization and escalation is appropriate
* To be flexible in approach and able to manage changing priorities
* Ability to be hands-on and effectively delegate where appropriate with a self-motivated, can-do attitude that leads by example
* Strong communicator verbally and in writing, with keen listening skills, in English and strong presentation skills
* Strong commercial awareness and a strong ability to operate in commercially sensitive and important situations
* Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities
* People management skills is a plus
* Methodical, disciplined approach
* Aptitude for technology issues and continuous Improvement philosophy
