JOB PURPOSE

As HR Manager at Burberry, you will be providing accurate, efficient and effective HR support to our manufacturing site based in Turin, partnering with our business leaders within our Outerwear category on all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will act as an ambassador of Burberry and our culture, to empower our business and inspire talent and leadership capabilities to deliver exceptional results.

This role as a HR Manager is offered on a permanent basis and will be based at our manufacturing site in Turin, Piedmont.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with business leaders to challenge, coach and advise on people-related matters, operational HR issues and strategy, thinking commercially while aligning with our values
  • Providing payroll information through T&A records, and information to 3rd parties on employment status/terms, including negotiations/consultations with the trade unions
  • Connecting with the wider HR team around employee relations matters, policies and guidelines to ensure the business is protected from risk and adheres to legal compliance. Supporting with ER casework as required, including consultation, grievances, disciplinary, performance management, absence management and settlement agreements.
  • Supporting the delivery of HR action plans, strategies and initiatives to promote a welcoming, inclusive and high-performing workplace
  • Working closely with the HR Business Partner and finance on budgeting, actual spend & forecasting in relation to people costs, preparing business justification/rationale for headcount expenditure which is outside of budget or unexpected
  • Connecting with leaders to create succession plans and people reviews
  • Engaging with Talent Acquisition on the recruitment process by taking part in interviews, preparing offer paperwork/employment contracts, reference checks and managing the new starter process
  • Leading and implementing organisational design opportunities, working closely with wider HR team and other functions involved in business transformation


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experienced within a generalist HR role in a large, commercial business essential, ideally with exposure to the RTW/luxury industry
  • Fluency in both English & Italian (verbal and written) essential
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
  • An exceptional communicator, able to influence and guide stakeholders at a senior level and build relationships and trust
  • A true subject matter expert who thrives on making solution-focused recommendations, with the confidence to present and speak openly
