STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Miami, LATAM office

Overall Objective:

Tiffany is expanding our footprint into a number of new markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Latin America team to help coordinate and control the accounting function for the new markets in the region.

"New markets" are defined as all Latin America markets, excluding Brazil, Mexico and Chile.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations

Assisting with monthly close processes.

Maintaining financial reports, financial reports record, and general ledger accounts.

Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.

Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.

Ensuring compliance with GAAP and / or IFRS

Assisting the accounting manager as needed.

Regional best practice:

Support Accounting Manager to ensure the local & group accounting and tax obligations are controlled in the new markets of the Region.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Master's degree preferred.

Required experience:

Three years experience in the Accounting and Finance field.

Technical skills / abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Personal skills:

The successful candidate will have the following personal qualities:
  • Strong knowledge in FP&A.
  • Proven organizational abilities that enables the person to establish and achieve organizational goals.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within or cultural working knowledge of Latin America
  • Proficient with JDE E1
  • Foreign language skills: English and Spanish fluency mandatory.
