- Maintain the machinery in classrooms and labs- daily, weekly and monthly.
- Provide guidance and instruction to students/faculty in the proper and safe use of equipment.
- Repair and maintain Fashion Design's industrial sewing machines, irons and dress forms.
- Replace needles and thread machines when needed.
- Assist students in labs and classrooms with threading, jams in machines, dress form issues and iron issues.
- Create and coordinate technician / mechanic schedules.
- Change oil in sewing machines at the end of each semester.
- Blow out all machines at the end of each semester (inside motor and inside machines).
- Work with the Department and Chair on inventory needs.
- Assess conditions of dress forms for maintenance and replacement.

The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) dictates the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment. Starting Salary: $60,685 per year with step increments per Salary Schedule 92, after one year of service and annually thereafter.
