YOUR ROLE

The Global Visual Merchandising Manager is a pivotal role for conveying the brand identity of Holzweiler. The role requires a commercial and creative mindset, with overall responsibility of maintaining and enhancing the brand image across retail, wholesale and office spaces.

The role will be based in the Holzweiler Oslo headquarters and is the VM point of contact for retail teams globally. The key working relationships are with the Retail, Retail Merchandising, Architecture and E-Commerce teams, as well as with local contractors and businesses.

The role reports directly to the Global Head of Merchandising.

YOUR DUTIES

• Responsible for the world of Visual Merchandising, creating and applying the global visual direction to retail, showroom and office spaces through:
  • Product Display.
  • Window Display inc. vinyl design.
  • Fixtures and Display Solutions in collaboration with the Architecture department.
  • Decorations, including flowers, glassware, art etc.
• Creation of overall and seasonal visual merchandising guidelines together with the Global Head of Merchandising.
• Responsible for communicating visual merchandising guidelines to Wholesale partners and supporting their activations where possible.
• Participate in seasonal collection walk throughs to understand the hero products and inspiration behind each collection.
• Manage monthly VM changes through occasional store visits and guiding retail team VM representatives. Align these changes with e-commerce for their sequencing and homepage plans.
• Adapt the brand’s global visual direction to individual store needs, capacity and inventory.
• Review and understand upcoming deliveries and plan product display accordingly.
• Review and understand sales performance and use visual merchandising as a commercial tool, for example pushing slow sellers through new display solutions.
• Partner with the Retail, Architecture and Merchandising team to find creative solutions to visual merchandising issues while maintaining the brand’s image.
• Supervise maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal brand image.
• Coordinate and supervise the installation of window displays, liaising with local contractors to follow the directive, timeline, and budget.
• Provide monthly VM reports to key departments, including actions taken, store images and future opportunities.
• Flexibility to travel and Adobe Illustrator skills are required for this role.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Visual Merchandising Professional: Extensive visual merchandising experience of 5+ years, including creating guidelines which balancing creativity and commerciality.
• One of the family: A collaborative team player who can build and grow relationships in a fast-moving brand.
• Growth focused: Working with initiative and creating processes in the newly formed Visual Merchandising department.
• Technical Knowledge: Use of Illustrator, Photoshop and other software to amend store layouts, create vinyl graphics and more.
