Burberry is looking for a Digital Project Manager to support delivery of priority projects for its China digital business.
The projects will span technologies and devices and will have a wide business impact across departments. This will give the ideal candidate great exposure across the business, experience of working with global teams and will provide opportunities to develop knowledge of the sector and regional market.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the process and orchestration of delivering projects and features from the China digital product roadmap, managing outcomes as well as partnering with wider business, technology and delivery teams in London, Shanghai and with remote partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will have the following traits:
- A pro-active character capable of driving projects forwards in a positive way
- Inspire collaboration and understanding
- Great attention to detail and a desire for clarity
- Experience working with or as part of a global team, and be respectful of different working patterns and time zones
- Excellent knowledge and ideally working experience in Agile, and an understanding of continuous delivery
- Be a key member of the Digital team, and will manage projects from inception through to delivery and provide support for Shanghai-based colleagues with central dependencies
- Work with passionate, fun and dedicated teams
On a day to day basis the role will involve:
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with the teams in London, Shanghai and with partners and around the business, promoting understanding and collaboration
- Create and maintain cross stream plans where there are dependencies and help to define the activities and resources needed to complete the project, acting as a guide for the team and stakeholders
- Identify internal and external dependencies on China projects, mapping them to project plans, and working with relevant teams to track and manage these dependencies as well as raising risks and issues against them
- Owning the ongoing communication of delivery status to stakeholders
- Help ensure priorities are aligned and clearly communicated
- Ensure that everything is built with the agreed strategies (tech, privacy, security, legal) with very high level of quality as agreed per stream. Ensuring that the right people are involved at the right time
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience of running delivery of digital/technology projects in a global organisation or across territories
- Experience of running delivery of Agile projects is essential. An understanding and certification in Agile and an understanding of Agile Project Management approaches and how to apply them.
- Significant industry experience working across large websites, mobile, desktop or applications. Could be from an agency, consultancy or client side - should have hands on experience managing off-shore Development teams.
- Demonstrable background within a technical project management role
- Adaptable and flexible nature, curious and keen active listening skills, excellent communicator with an understanding on how to adapt style to meet stakeholder needs - Mandarin language skills a bonus.
- A passion for retail and experience within a software delivery company is essential.
