We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Procurement Lead to join our team. As the Logistics Procurement Lead at On, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our logistics procurement processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of our products, supporting our growth and expansion efforts. Your Mission
Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute the logistics procurement strategy aligned with On's business objectives. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish partnerships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Supplier Management: Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers such as carriers, freight forwarders etc, as example but not limited to warehousing, distribution, transportation services. Evaluate supplier performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and address any issues to ensure service level agreements and key performance indicators are met.
Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the logistics procurement process. Conduct analysis of transportation rates, negotiate favorable pricing, and implement strategies to reduce overall logistics costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Tendering: Leading RFX process for Logistics category (ie. warehousing, distribution, global transportation)
Contract Management: Develop and manage contracts and service level agreements with logistics service providers. Monitor compliance, negotiate contract renewals, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and cost effectiveness.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks within the logistics procurement function. Identify areas of vulnerability, implement contingency plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams, to align procurement activities with overall business objectives. Participate in cross-functional projects, providing procurement expertise and insights.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools and systems to analyze logistics procurement data and generate meaningful reports. Identify trends, key performance indicators, and areas for improvement, and present findings to the management team.
Your Story
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or logistics, and at least 5 years focusing on logistics procurement specifically
Strong commercial acumen and experience in delivering large, complex warehousing, distribution and global transportation projects
Deep understanding of logistics procurement processes, including carrier selection, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to utilize data-driven insights for decision-making and process improvement.
Proficiency in procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools.
Demonstrable record of delivering value and developing procurement capabilities in a complex, global business.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and driving results.
