JOB SUMMARY

Senior Manager, Buying (RTW, Shoes), China

• Establish RTW & Shoes as image drivers to elevate the brand while achieving commercial excellence
• Closely partner with Retail & Training, role as key ambassador to tell the brand story that resonate with local clients
• Buying/ in season merchandise management. Feedback & communication with HQ

RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC ROLE OF RTW & HOME

• Establish RTW & Home as key image drivers for the brand in China
• Internal ambassador to the categories, to tell the brand story that resonates with local clients, with PR, CRM (events/ trunk shows), Training, Retail
• Establish trunk show calendar at every launch, consistently telling the same brand story

BUYING

• Formulating the buying strategy and overseeing the buying process to make sure each buy is done properly (quantity and styles) by assorting the line, analyzing history, and identifying volume drivers to maximize sales with guidance and collaboration with the Corporate Buying function
• Work closely with PR to incorporate Look Book selections in Buy
• Work closely with VM for the Windows to maintain a global image
• Be responsible for the merchandise distribution, stock allocation and merchandise reordering management

PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON LOCAL MARKETS NEEDS

• On-going communication with Merchandising Team in U.S. on local market needs and specific country requests, that include but not limited to special products, new stores opening and new initiatives of the region
• In touch with local industry trends and competitor awareness in pricing, trend, quality and products offers

EDUCATION, PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

• Degree holder
• Excellent command in English & Chinese
• In depth understanding & interest in culture, lifestyle, art & fashion, lifestyle.
• Cultured & sophisticated. Confident & highly presentable.
• 8-10 years experience in luxury fashion, art, auction house or design.
• Good planning, communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications and advanced in Excel
