Position Overview
Position Purpose and Scope We are seeking an experienced finance leader to join Ralph Lauren as the Lead of Financial Planning & Analysis, Global Impact (Sustainability & Citizenship). This role will play a critical role in aligning investment with objectives & strategies, maximizing financial and strategic returns, and advancing our sustainability agenda. Responsibilities will include monthly financial analyses and reporting, forecasting and cost management, annual financial and strategic planning, finance operational oversight, ad hoc business analyses, and driving initiatives in support of the fiscal year strategic operating plan. This role will initially oversee 1 analyst with the expectation of team growth in the future as we scale this critical function. The ideal candidate will be an initiative-taking financial professional with an interest/passion in the areas of sustainability & citizenships possessing the ability to manage and deliver priorities accurately, on-time, and with a high- degree of analytical proficiency and integrity. This position requires strong foundational knowledge of finance and accounting, demonstrated experience supporting financial planning activities, and experience delivering fact-based recommendations to multiple cross-functional stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Partnerships
* Act as key financial partner and advisor to the Chief Global Impact officer as well as the Head of Sustainability, in addition to the CFO of Global Finance
* Drive strategic decision-making & champion change, proactively identifying/vetting new Global Impact initiatives & investments
* Serve as key finance representative in Global Impact leadership meetings/executive presentations (e.g., CEO, COO, CFO), as well as be the key Global Impact liaison for all global finance teams Monthly P&L Close/Forecast Preparation & Expense Management
* division. Analyze operating results against forecast, plan, and prior year (variance analyses) and compile all deliverables per monthly timelines
* Develop strong relationships with functional leaders and meet regularly to ensure financials targets are achieved, and to manage forecast risks and opportunities
* Manage month-end close process, including journal preparation, accruals, collecting supporting documentation, variance analysis, and reporting preparation for executive review
* Build detailed financial models and forecasts to support short-term and long-term strategic planning
* team to align on inputs and key drivers for monthly close and forecast activities
* to ensure investment delivers against financial goals, compliance requirements and strategic objectives
* Preparation of deliverables for quarterly corporate reports, business reviews and budget reviews
* Perform ad hoc analyses, reports and presentations and make recommendations to business partners Annual Plan Preparation and Management
* Partner with business leads to develop short- and long-term financial goals
* Perform various operational analyses for budget presentation, including sustainability goal and commitments tracking, sustainability/traceability compliance and regulatory environment overview, and industry benchmarking Process Analysis and Enhancement · Through partnership with business and finance partners, ensure teams are following appropriate Corporate and Financial policies/processes. Alert management of potential areas of exposure or risk of proper compliance · Analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support new processes implementation · Support the development of Finance reporting that leverages systemic reporting Leadership and Managing Others · Lead, manage, develop and grow Global Impact finance team - including both direct report as well as indirect partners (e.g., Manager of Sustainability Reporting & Controls, Corporate Treasury & Sustainability Finance Lead), delivering results and deliverables within the targeted timelines · Foster and maintain a collaborative and results-driven culture, promoting teamwork, diversity, inclusion, and empowerment with accountability

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Requirements
* Experience in Finance or Accounting
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, reporting and performance management, preferably within the retail apparel industry
* Proven team leader, passionate about talent development, including for broader teams
* Interest in the areas of sustainability and citizenship a plus
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, and interpersonal skills
* Expert financial modeling skills
* Strong communications and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction effectively, up, down and across an organization
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including deadline-sensitive priorities
* Flexibility in navigating, adjusting, and reprioritizing while navigating a complex, dynamic business and internal stakeholder environment
* Team player with strong work ethic & drive for results, able to effectively collaborate & partner with internal stakeholders with an Enterprise mindset
* Passionate about technology as an enabler to business success
