POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for reviewing and reconciling daily omni channel sales, reviewing sales reports and resolving any exceptions. This position interacts with field management on a regular basis to resolve sales exceptions as they arise and in a timely manner. The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting sales movement data flow issues between the stores and the sub-ledger.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Audits and reconciles daily store-level and DCOM sales and return transactions:
• Researches/resolves sales exceptions; report unusual or large discrepancies to manager
• Works with store technology team on any missing and/or rejected transactions to assist with problem resolution
• Balances sales transactions between the POS database, the General Ledger and Business Intelligence reporting on a weekly basis to ensure systems are aligned.
• Performs period close processes related to sales.
• Responds timely to store issues from field management and NSSC personnel.
• Supports & notifies cash management team with any transactional data movement issues between systems.

• Interfaces with Contact Center on customer refund issues related to gift cards.

• Works with internal and external auditors on sales movement.
• Assists with finance testing schedules, scenarios and resolution of open items and defects for system changes, upgrades and updates.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1 - 2 years accounting or similar experience
• Basic understanding of GAAP, audit procedures and financial controls
• Self-starter with concrete problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Team player with solid organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Capacity to work within a fast-moving, changing environment
• Knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion a plus
