Job Opportunity: Senior Manager - Greater China Ecommerce and Omnichannel Solutions

The Role:

You will be responsible for leading strategic projects, providing technical solutions, and ensuring the stability of systems related to our e-commerce (.com, market places and OMS etc.) and omnichannel business units. The role requires a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape in China, as well as a strong technical background in related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
  • Spearhead our global China ecommerce and omnichannel initiatives, setting the strategic direction for our digital ecosystem.
  • Lead and mentor a talented team of IT professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.

Technical Solutioning:
  • Utilize your deep technical expertise to architect and design world-class ecommerce and omnichannel solutions.
  • Stay at the forefront of technological trends, leveraging your knowledge to recommend and implement best-in-class systems and technologies.
  • Drive the evolution of our digital platforms, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional performance across channels.

Governance of System Stability and Performance:
    • Assume ownership of system stability, reliability, and scalability, proactively identifying and resolving technical challenges.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement rigorous testing and monitoring protocols, ensuring optimal system performance at all times.
    • Manage and maintain a scalable and sustainable support model with internal teams and external vendors with right governance in place

Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Engage closely with internal business units e.g. Digital, Ecomm, CRM, Retail teams to gather requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
    • Foster strong partnerships with external vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and managing relationships to enhance our technological ecosystem.

Qualifications:
    • Proven experience (8+ years) in leading ecommerce and omnichannel solutions, preferably within the luxury or retail sector.


    • In-depth understanding of ecommerce platforms, market places, production information management system, data asset management system, content management systems, order management systems, and omnichannel technologies in Greater China market.
    • Proficiency in technical solution architecture, system integration, and API management.
    • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.
    • Experience and knowledge in dealing with projects based on web technologies like any programing language, web services, CSS, SQL, Java, CDN, etc.
    • Nice to have knowledge on hyper scalers like AWS, alicloud


    • Outstanding communication skills in Chinese and business level English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Exceptional leadership capabilities demonstrated through the effective management of cross-functional teams.
    • Adaptable to changes and being comfortable to deal with ambiguity
    • Committed, innovative and positive thinker on getting things done
    • Desire and passion to learn new technologies and keep abreast of latest advances and trends in digital technologies
