Job Title: Senior Accountant

Primary Purpose: The Sr. Accountant will provide accounting support for North America Ecommerce.

Responsibilities include - Booking Journal Entries, participating in month end close process, Monthly account reconciliation, SOX Compliance , customer service support and testing.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in accounting to...

  • Support month-end close tasks including booking Journal entries and adjustments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate effectively with corporate finance, IT, and customer service teams on different tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, and internal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support both internal and external audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the team.
  • Support AdHoc Requests and projects.
  • Learn process flow of all transactions in order to be able to get into the detail when issues need to be researched.
  • Work closing with business partners to understand new initiatives and any accounting or control impact.

An outstanding professional will have...

  • BS in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years or more of work experience in Accounting; Retail Accounting preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, month-end close process, and financial reporting requirements.
