Job Details

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. This is a high responsibility role reporting directly to ownership team in a privately held company.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full cycle general ledger accounting process for all divisions.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Train, task, review, and supervise small international accounting team.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for all business activities touching finance.
  • Handle the financial close process, including consolidations and related activities, such as journal entries and as well as reviewing account reconciliations.
  • Provide ownership with timely financials including cashflow plans
  • Manage balance sheet and P&L variance analysis for leadership
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting data with attention to detail and standard procedures.
  • Recommend and initiate process improvement and automation initiatives to streamline accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual close
  • Advise business unit leaders regarding financial accounting and reporting issues, transaction structuring.
  • Coordinate and audit all required full inventory counts annually and as needed.
  • Manage external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner
  • Dive into the details and identify difficulties, eliminate inefficiencies by revamping processes and utilization of internal systems and tools.
  • Develop and mentor your accounting staff to build their professional career and maximize potential

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end fashion business process.
  • Apparel manufacturing, importing and distribution experience.
  • eCommerce experience.
  • ERP experience is necessary.
  • Hands-on approach to finance functions.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work with a high sense of urgency
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to maintain flexibility and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Ability to drive new policies and procedures for a rapidly growing company in a collaborative way
  • Strong judgment, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable, effective, collaborative, in dealing with employees and managers.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership as a business partner.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
