Job Details

PURPLE, an industry leader in luxury PR representing top names in Fashion, Lifestyle, and Beauty, is actively seeking an enthusiastic Showroom Manager to join the agencies London office. The right candidate must be highly organized, have strong communication skills, and use initiative to achieve exceptional results.

 

The Showroom Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of interns to track all collections that arrive and depart the PURPLE showroom for multiple fashion, accessory, shoes, eyewear, watch and fine jewelry clients. They will collaborate with the Account Directors to ensure all merchandise is received and edited for presentation to editors, stylists, influencers and VIPS.

 

Organizational Excellence with ability to merchandise is a critical to success in the position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt and constant flow of all samples that have been received from clients or returned from shoots/celebrities, using Fashion GPS the Launchmetrics system.
  • Work with the intern team to unbox deliveries, check-in, and steam garments for restocking.
  • Always ensure a well-maintained PURPLE showroom
  • Communicate pertinent information regarding samples to all necessary parties in a timely manner
  • Have knowledge of how to pack and accurately document merchandise for shipping according to proper specifications, both domestically and internationally
  • Maintain fashion /archive for all merchandise not located in the showroom itself so product is always easily located
  • Advice regarding the ordering office supplies in a timely manner
  • Pull reports as requested in support of fashion team
  • Send out samples at season end or VIP or return to client
  • Maintain a well-kept dispatch area for a well-functioning and safe work environment
  • Manage London Press Day installations
  • Assist team members with various projects and tasks
  • Work closely with the HR department to manage interns

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS preferred
  • Previous experience in retail is highly valued
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with all account teams in the Fashion Department
  • Extremely well-organized, neat, methodical, and efficient.
  • Strong initiative and follow through to make sure all tasks are taken to full completion
  • A demonstrated understanding of PR and how the flow of samples is critical to the process
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent prioritizing and time management.
  • Discreet, professional, and articulate, with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office properties
  • Heavy lifted is involved in this role.
