JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY
  • Mainline/Runway/Sportline product development, working with New York PD and vendors on handbag and SLG development
  • Lead the team members through the whole product development until production
  • Working with cross function teams through the whole product development until production


RESPONSIBILITIES

Roles:
  • Product Development
  • Non Leather Materials Development and Consolidation


Products:
  • Mainline/Runway/Sportline
  • Special Program - Foundation, Facebook, Bloomingdales, Sak's etc...


Responsibilities:
  • 3rd party sourcing/development and consolidation
  • Lead the team members have factory visit during proto / SMS stage
  • Lead the team members to maintain proto/ SMS/ PMS on time delivery
  • Lead the team to provide cost saving options / workable workmanship before production cuts released.
  • Take over the whole mainline team's daily work during their absence/annual/sick leave


Production Development (additional responsibility-manage mainline team)
  • Plan team's roles/ responsibilities and assess their performance with SMM
  • Consolidate SMS non leather material swatch / lining lab dip to send NY Team for approval & chase for bulk color comments
  • Lead the team work out factory sample room in line schedule closely tracking SMS material / delivery status
  • Take Charge of each season's Internal Line Review and Hands Over Meeting
  • Consolidate YKK / Coats chart to handover production team on bulk order
  • Download fty allocation chart and download to all team mates including leather/ technical/ hardware/ production/ costing teams
  • Make sure all tech packs are due in HKO on time, any late tech packs and / or proto comments affecting on time delivery will alert NYO/ HKO Production in advance and provide suggestions
  • Lead PD team make sure all proto and SMS/ PMS are executed correctly and feasible for production
  • Make sure PD team follow up on photos taking, product SER, PDM update in a timely manner
  • Closely work with Technical / hardware / Leather team to consolidate callout with NY Team & provide suggestions to fix if any issues.
  • Work with production team for updating the production MOQ / leadtime chart before SMS ready
  • Consolidate SMS liability chart and work with factory maintain qty update for NY Team


Non Leather Materials Development and Consolidation (additional responsibility)
  • Consolidate all fty source / PD source non-leather material FDS & provide passed test report before bulk placement


EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE
  • Diploma holder in Education English
  • At least 10 years of related work experience, with at least 2 years' experience in supervisory role
  • Strong data analysis skills, attention to details and able to work independently
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken), Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
