Senior Communications Manager

Reference Studios is looking for highly motivated Senior Communications Managers to join our teams in Berlin. With a sense for excellent service, excellent client liaising skills, and specialist expertise in PR, the Senior Communications Manager plays a major role in leading the Communications department, promoting their clients across activities including events, seeding, community building, while developing and executing the Company’s PR strategies.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong drive to generate and successfully implement strategic and creative ideas, as well as demonstrate focus to achieve results with clear KPIs and ROI articulation. All the while bringing an understanding of our 360 approach as well as a solid knowledge of the industry. Identifying with our brands, contents and values is not only a plus – it is a prerequisite to excel as an ambassador of Reference Studios at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Development and execution of PR plans, strategies and concepts tailored to each client’s objectives in line with the company’s vision
• High standard of results for clients visibility and brand awareness in the targeted media/PR plans - to meet the ambitions, expectations and standards of both client and agency
• Department lead by support of Communication leads and organization of internal agency processes from our Berlin office & showroom
• Independent supervision of client accounts
• Team-internal support for PR strategies and topic placements
• Development and execution of PR plans, strategies and concepts tailored to each client’s objectives in line with the company’s vision
• Media networking and liaising; build and maintain  excellent  relationships with the media and represent the Agency at key industry events
• Monitoring, clippings and client reports
• Writing press releases, sending out newsletters
• Conception and organisation of client events and presentations
• Maintenance of the agency's internal media database, correspondence with press contacts
• Implementation of influencer and social media projects including budgeting
• Development of pitches, customer strategies, and handling of client acquisitions
• Research and administration

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant experience with an agency or in-house with a brand 
• Proven track record in securing top tier coverage in print, online, broadcast and new media, strong relationships with journalists and stylists
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand business challenges and recommend effective implementation plans designed to drive results.
• Strong knowledge of lifestyle, fashion, arts & culture as well as daily news media landscapes
• Personality and composure to work with senior executives and major media outlets
• Excellent organizational skills, superior attention to detail, resilient under pressure, and ability to work quickly and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
• Skills and experience with brand performance (e.g. Launchmetrics) preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English - and German/Italian/French preferred
