Job Summary:

 

The Director of E-Commerce is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and growth of the company's online sales strategy. This includes managing the company's e-commerce website, digital marketing campaigns, online merchandising, and customer experience. The Director of E-Commerce is expected to lead a team of e-commerce professionals to achieve revenue and profit goals, and to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement an e-commerce strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. This involves working closely with senior management and other key stakeholders to identify the company's strategic goals and objectives, and then developing an e-commerce strategy that supports and enhances these goals. Oversee the management of the company's e-commerce website, ensuring that it is optimized for usability, search engine visibility, and conversion rates. Usability optimization involves making sure that the website is user-friendly, easy to navigate, and provides a positive user experience. This includes ensuring that the website is visually appealing, the layout is intuitive, the product descriptions and images are clear and informative, and the checkout process is smooth and hassle-free. Search engine visibility optimization involves implementing search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to increase the website's visibility and ranking on search engines such as Google. This includes using relevant keywords in the website content, optimizing meta tags, optimizing images, and implementing other SEO best practices. Conversion rate optimization involves improving the website's ability to convert visitors into customers. This includes implementing strategies to improve the website's load speed, reduce bounce rates, improve the checkout process, and increase customer trust and confidence in the website. The Director of E-Commerce will work closely with the IT  team to ensure that the website meets the technical requirements necessary for optimal performance. Develop and manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to achieve revenue and profit goals

• Manage the company's online merchandising efforts, including product selection, pricing, and promotions

 

 • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic and sales

 

 • Analyze customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and use this information to improve the customer experience and drive sales

 

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and continually assess and improve the company's e-commerce offerings

 

 • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of e-commerce professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field

 

 • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

 

• Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and technologies, as well as online marketing channels and strategies

 

  • Knowledge of Shopify is a must

 • Proven track record of developing and executing successful e-commerce strategies that have driven revenue and profit growth

 

 • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively and efficiently

 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions

 

 • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals

 

 • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

 

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

 

  • Spanish-speaking preferred
