THE ROLE:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Fashion Design Intern who will play an important role in assisting the
design team as they develop and sample new Broken Planet products.
• Paid
• (Part-time) Monday, Wednesday, Friday
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Work under the direction of members of the design team in multiple creative and organisational functions
• Assist on creating and developing new garments, concepts, prints and patterns, from brainstorming initial ideas
to the final product
• Assist in the preparation of presentation boards
• Run errands and keep the design studio clean and organised
• Print graphics from photoshop to test sizing for new prints
• Assist designers in creating technical files for garments including technical drawings and trim specifications
• Pattern cut, construct and sew toiles/samples and make further alterations ready for product launch
• Support meetings with the Creative Directors and design team, taking notes where appropriate
WHO YOU ARE:
• A student or graduate with a technical/fashion diploma or degree in a related field (a streetwear/sportswear
specialism is a plus)
• Interested in the Broken Planet Aesthetic
• Proficient in the use of the Adobe suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
• Precise and proactive, with good time management and problem-solving skills
• Knowledgable in the sector of trims/fabric development and how they are used best
• Knowledgable in garment construction, fit and pattern development
• Able to understand and adapt to new processes and ways of working at a fast pace
