We are looking for a Translation Assistant to join our International Trade team within the eCommerce Marketing department, on a 12 month FTC!

This is a brilliant opportunity where you will assist the Translations Manager for NEXT, helping to coordinate with our technical translation suppliers who translate all of the website content to 25 different languages to use on local websites, covering 72 countries.

We are looking for someone who has experience within an eCommerce role and someone who has an excellent analytical background, coupled with fantastic communication skills with the ability to liaise with all different stakeholders internally and externally.

Being multilingual is not a requirement as you will work closely with external stakeholders who provide all of the translation.

We can offer hybrid working, with part of the week working at our Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire and part of the week working remotely (3 days office, 2 days remote).

About the role
  • Manage day-to-day processes and requests for translation services on the NEXT international websites
  • Work with large technical suppliers to deliver work and ensure high quality of work done
  • Help manage invoicing and budgeting for the team
  • Manage any high priority issues related to translation services, ensuring website stability
  • Become a key knowledge point for translation services
  • Edit translations in a "live edit" environment
  • Manage translation work tickets in a ticketing application
  • Reviewing weekly analytics and reports
  • Oversee digital marketing processes for translation

About you
  • Previous experience in an eCommerce role
  • Analytical and comfortable with large volumes of data
  • Organised, thorough and excited by a challenge you'll work well in a busy and fast moving retail environment
  • Good at prioritising workload to meet requirements and tight deadlines
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good communication skills & able to effectively work with members of both the immediate and wider team, at varying levels
  • Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude who is able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment
  • Experience of working in an online environment and/or trading, merchandising or buying
  • Keen interest in languages
  • A technical or IT background and able to understand Proxy or API website solutions (preferable)
