We are looking for a Product Owner to join the Total Platform team at Next!

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our client websites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, trade teams, content teams and stakeholders, to ensure that our client sites have features delivered, excellent client experiences, and continuous product improvement.

We can offer hybrid working, with 2 days working at Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire and 3 days working remotely.

About the role

Product Development Roadmaps: Develop and maintain comprehensive product development roadmaps aligned with the Total Platform vision. Prioritise product features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility. Work closely with the development team to break down product roadmap items into actionable user stories and sprint plans. Regularly communicate the product roadmap and release plans to internal teams and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders, including clients, and internal teams, to gather feedback, validate product requirements, and align expectations. Act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals and priorities. Foster a collaborative environment, facilitating cross-functional meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation and gather insights.

Product Quality and Improvement: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and client satisfaction. Conduct regular product reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments. Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product quality, bug resolution, and timely issue resolution.

Client Onboarding: Supporting the client onboarding process, from initial requirements gathering to final delivery. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, goals, and business objectives. Translate client requirements into clear and actionable product backlogs. Work closely with internal teams to prioritise tasks, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery of client projects. Conduct regular cross functional meetings and update clients and internal stakeholders on project progress, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

About you
  • Previous experience in a Product owner or Product Manager related role.
  • Excellent communication skills; you must be happy and confident talking to large groups of people at all levels and work cross functionally.
  • Good Attention to detail and organised. Next is a very fast paced retail environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience using A/B testing platforms such as Monetate, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, Dynamic Yield, Content Square are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience using project management and agile tools such as TFS, Rally, Asana, are desirable but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development is preferable, but not essential as you will work closely with Developers to build new and exciting web features.
  • Understanding of UX/UI to drive business performance.
  • Experience in communicating with and influencing relevant stakeholders - the ability to distil complex topics into an easy-to-understand summary
  • High intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, organisation, and persuasion skills.
  • Excels in an entrepreneurial, get-things-done culture: self-starter, highly proactive and willing to roll up their sleeves as a team player.
