Job Details

AMIRI is looking for an exceptional Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. The Accounting Manager’s primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing our outsourced AR team in addition to handling the accounting functions for our sister brand B1 Archive.  This position will report to AMIRI’s Controller and will be based in Los Angeles, California with the option for flex time in office 3-days a week.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements (e.g., income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) to provide accurate and timely financial information to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Supervision: Oversee a team of accountants and finance professionals, assigning tasks, setting performance goals, and providing training and development opportunities. Ensure that the team maintains accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate external audits or internal audits as needed. Provide auditors with the necessary documentation and explanations during audit processes.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash flow to ensure the organization has adequate liquidity to meet its financial obligations. This may involve optimizing the timing of receipts and payments.
  • Vendor and Client Relations: Interact with vendors, clients, and financial institutions regarding financial transactions, credit terms, and payment issues.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare special financial reports and analyses as requested by management or stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required
  • Retail multi-site and/or fashion industry experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP required
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word 
  • Strong Accounts Receivable experience as this position will oversee AR.
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
