The role

· The SEO Content Manager is responsible for creating a clear content strategy and roadmap to improve rankings, optimize the customer experience and grow traffic and sales. This individual will partner with internal Editorial, Copywriting, PR, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to analyze, execute, and optimize content strategies across platforms. This role requires strong problem solving skills, prioritization, and the ability to turn insights into actions. Neiman Marcus is looking for someone with a customer-first mindset to ensure content is on brand, an ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders while supporting overall strategies set for the company.


· Create actionable content strategies across the site that will drive traffic, new users, and revenue

o Serve as the SEO expert and point of contact for all stakeholders who are involved in content ideation & creation

o Ensure stakeholder content is optimized to drive both business and SEO goals

o Closely align with Merchandising team to ensure agency supports content optimizations for top seasonal product priorities

o Work with marketing and PR teams to find opportunities for content distribution and syndication

o Find creative opportunities to add and improve content across commerce and editorial pages

· Analyze performance and insights to determine optimization opportunities

o Monitor SEO performance, including traffic, sales, and rankings to determine opportunities to increase SEO's contribution to the business; share learnings weekly and monthly with key stakeholders

o Understand how to show the value of content within last touch and limited muti-touch attribution models

· Ensure SEO industry best practices are in place

o Manage on-page optimizations and SEO performance for select categories on Neiman Marcus

o Serve as an evangelist for SEO across the company, working with cross-functional teams to instill best practices, update processes and improve communication

o Educate and create SEO 101s as needed to garner support for large projects

o Continuously stay on top of industry changes impacting the business, informing and educating stakeholders


· 6-8 years experience in SEO, either in house or for an SEO agency

· Experience with creating and executing on successful SEO content strategies

· High level of initiative and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

· Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions from data to make impactful optimizations

· Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, familiarity with Google Search Console, Botify, and SEMRush (or similar SEO SaaS tools)

· Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize at a high level, drive strategy and brand consistency while at the same time understanding of deep tactical SEO optimizations

· Exceptional proactive project management and organization skills, with a keen eye for detail

· Ability to work in a matrixed organization, passion to strengthen partnerships and proactively gain alignment

· Nice to have: copywriting or UX experience
