Position Overview
The Senior analyst facilitates and expedites the movement of our small parcel packages to and from various points of the RL supply chain ensuring on- time delivery and compliance with all domestic and international shipping requirements. Works with carriers and internal partners to prioritize, manage and schedule deliveries to meet delivery deadlines. Develops new reporting, analyzes reports and distributes reports with analysis and recommendations incorporated. Initiates, develops and implements new processes, process improvements, cost savings, performance metrics, exception management reporting, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Proactively manage and monitor daily direct to consumer shipments to ensure routing and transit time compliance
* Develop and prepare regular delivery performance reports
* Responsible for small parcel carrier management
* Perform advanced transportation/logistics analysis
* Develop, prepare monthly/ quarterly carrier performance reports
* Provide intensive support to Ecommerce operations during peak season
* Identify methods and areas to improve service, reduce freight costs, and streamline processes
* Provide expert knowledge in support of transportation management
* Identify core issues and address by providing advanced analytical/business/technical solutions
* Support inbound and outbound shipments and change service level to meet delivery requirements
* Create solutions that can be effectively managed by individuals with operational skill sets
* Perform cost / benefit analysis and present multiple alternative scenarios
* Identify improvement / savings opportunities within functioning processes
* Automate existing processes to ensure accuracy and reduce work effort.
* Identify transportation violations and compile data for the Compliance Group for issuance of charge backs.
* Key contact in functional area to support all operations requirements

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Strong knowledge of small parcel carrier network operations, billing, and account management
* Understanding of optimization techniques, routing tools and performance metrics
* Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and root cause analysis
* Demonstrated decision making skills
* Executive style written, verbal and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated planning and project management skills. Proven ability to organize multiple projects schedules and meet shifting priorities
* Advanced competency in Excel
* Able to acquire new applications skills and/or process, researching independently
* Must be able to continuously utilize keyboard 8+ hours per day
