POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Senior Designer for Women's Outerwear, you will be a key member of the design team responsible for creating innovative and trendsetting outerwear collections for women. Your role will involve leading the design process, translating creative visions into practical designs, and ensuring that the products meet the brand's aesthetic, quality, and market requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior designers, and play a significant role in elevating the brand's women's outerwear offerings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

Creative Design:
  • Conceptualize and develop creative designs for women's outerwear that align with the brand's identity, target audience, and market trends.
  • Explore new and unique silhouettes, materials, colors, and patterns to differentiate the brand's outerwear collections.

Trend Research and Analysis:
  • Stay abreast of the latest fashion trends, fabric innovations, and outerwear design techniques.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Product Development:
  • Collaborate with the design director and cross-functional teams to create seasonal design collections.
  • Develop detailed tech packs and design specifications for prototypes and production.

Quality and Fit:
  • Ensure that all designs meet high-quality standards and adhere to fit and sizing guidelines.
  • Work closely with the product development team to resolve any fit or construction issues during the development process.

Brand Alignment:
  • Understand and maintain the brand's aesthetic and design language in all women's outerwear products.
  • Collaborate with the design director and brand team to ensure consistent storytelling and branding across collections.

Presentation and Communication:
  • Present design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders, including the design director, merchandisers, and executives.
  • Effectively communicate design details to the product development and production teams.

Mentorship and Collaboration:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and creativity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product developers, merchandisers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of design concepts.

Timeline Management:
  • Work closely with the design director and project managers to meet design and development timelines for each season.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 7-10 years of related design experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field required

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Designer or in a lead design role within the women's outerwear or fashion industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your creative and technical design skills in women's outerwear.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of women's fashion trends, outerwear styles, and fabrications.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetics and quality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and meet project deadlines.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $155,000
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
