Cashier Manager
Arlettie is the leader specialising in exclusive luxury private sale events for some of the worlds most renowned fashion houses across London and Paris. Our esteemed partners include Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Hermès, Jimmy Choo, Kenzo, Lanvin, Ralph Lauren and many more.
We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and highly experienced Cashier Manager to join our exceptional team in the UK. This position is based in our showroom in central London.
Role and Responsibilities:
As the Cashier Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the tills, supervising a team, and ensuring excellent customer service in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the UK Country Manager and collaborating with Account Managers, your primary responsibility will be to support the success of each sale event.
Key Responsibilities:
Till Management:
- Manage the tills, ensuring smooth operations, resolving customer queries, and maintaining security at the cash desk.
- Control cash handling procedures, investigating and resolving any discrepancies on the tills.
- Extract daily sales for each till, report back to the business, and identify and address any discrepancies.
- Manage cash in hand and maintain accurate records.
Team Management:
- Train the team on till operations, ensuring they understand procedures and processes.
- Train the team to follow specific processes requested by individual brands.
- Lead and motivate the team, organising weekly meetings to communicate processes and daily sales targets.
Customer Service:
- Ensure all staff members provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage client relationships and address any complaints.
- Supervise, welcome, inform, and assist customers with any queries.
Administration:
- Upload prices to the till software and prepare point-of-sale material, including pricing signage.
- Liaise with account managers for commercial activities and sales results.
- Report client feedback to the management team to achieve sales targets.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a till manager or in a similar position in a retail flagship store or a store with high volumes (e.g., Zara, Topshop, H&M).
- Reliability and Professionalism: Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong commercial acumen.
- Organisational and Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Team Leadership: Previous experience in successfully leading a team. Adaptability: Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and proactive approach.
- Numerical Skills: Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Software Proficiency: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Language Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English.
