Immediate start.  SPACE 519 is looking for a Stylist | Retail Sales Associate who has a passion for selling and living a stylish life.  We offer a small team where all team members’ contributions are valued.  

Recently featured in The New York Times - SPACE 519 is one of Chicago’s top fashion and lifestyle destinations.  Located just off Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, the small department store’s primary focus is Women’s Established and Emerging Designer Clothing and Accessories. SPACE 519 also features Fine Jewelry, Green Apothecary, Inspired Home Goods, as well as Art Books and Gift Items.  Within the space sits The Lunchroom - a 40-seat breakfast, lunch and brunch restaurant with an all-day café.

Specifically, this position will:

• Achieve Individual Sales Goals through working with Walk-ins, engaging in Targeted Clienteling, and Hosting Special Events. Emulate the SPACE 519 Brand Aesthetic and embody a Strong Sense of Style every day. Contribute Positively to the Team (including store owners) to consistently create and deliver Welcoming Exceptional Client Experiences. Develop, maintain and nurture strong Store Client Relationships. Work with the Marketing and Events Manager to develop profitable Small Events. Stay up-to-date on current Trends and the Fashion Industry.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A Friendly Outgoing Demeanor and Professional Appearance. At least 2 years of relevant Sales Experience A Can-do Results Orientation with a proven ability to Consistently Meet Goals. The flexibility to Work as Part of a Team in a sometimes-demanding environment. An ability to Strategize and be Self-Motivated to Increase Individual Productivity and reach Personal and Store Sales Goals. Attention to Detail with ability to handle Multiple Demands simultaneously. Excellent Communication, Organizational and Follow-up Skills.
